Davine to an extent I think is like a yes man. Confronted with a question that she feels embarassed about answering frankly instead she will go the yes man/Woman route and say what she thinks people like to hear.

That's not meant as critism. Another word for it is diplomacy.

If saying something unpleasant serves no purpose!! then why say it..So Yeh.She will say she loves Helen and Paul even if she don't. Then again she may be telling it as it is
