Correct. The cat was not playing - it was defending itself. Lostalex refusing the see the obvious as usual..... if lostalex wants to watch the full clip -the baby is tormenting the cat. The cat is clearly showing it's annoyance by it's body language - the person at fault here is the child minder (we dont know it was a parent) who has set this up to film it.

The 'child minder' thought it would be funny.... .... because the cat was doing only what anyone and anything would do when it is provoke enough - it gave a warning via it's body language - and the person videoing for sure as hell knew what was coming - hence them videoing it...... the cat was defending itself - and quite rightly too.

Anyone who thinks the cat is was playing (or that the cat was at fault)... need to wise up .....

Personally as shocking as it is: good on the cat I say.

How is a baby meant to be able to read cat body language?... If a cat is tormented it walks off... this cat wanted to fight,it could have done that baby some real damage.
grrr...sorry I'm pro baby on this one.
