SIR Jimmy Savile will fix it again for viewers in a new series of the classic show at the grand old age of 80.

Sir Jimmy, who hits the milestone next week, will front new six parter Jim’ll Fix It: Now And Then for UK TV, which is due to be screened in February.

UK TV executive Diana Howie said: “Sir Jimmy didn’t need much persuading to return. Although he’s 79, he doesn’t look it and young people all know who he is.

“He’ll be returning to make new dreams come true and there will be clips from the original series. There will be a contemporary twist with Jimmy having a different younger co-presenter each week.

“We will be advertising for people who want Jim to fix it and contacting people who wrote to him years ago but who didn’t get their wishes fixed.

“We’ll even be dishing out the famous Jim Fixed It For Me medallions again.”

The original Jim’ll Fix It ran on BBC1 from 1975 to 1994. Sir Jimmy was last seen on TV hosting the final Top Of The Pops in August and he guested on Celebrity Big Brother in January.
