Default Acts Fast Tracked to appear on BGT

Aquabatique and Loveable Rogues:....

What do you think of this: right or wrong? Poll to follow

I don't think there is a thing wrong with it: talent is talent - regardless of where it is found..... and afterall, it IS still up to the voting public to make the final decision.

Both acts deserve to be in the finals as far as I'm concerned.

Quote:
AQUABATIQUE ...Their entry to the show was unlike other acts, who send in an application, then perform in front of producers, who decide whether to send them through to audition for the judges on camera.

Instead, they were sent through to the ‘live auditions’ after producers watched their showreel.

The news came to light just hours after finalists Loveable Rogues were caught up in ‘fix row’ as they admitted that show bosses had also hand-picked them to appear in front of the judges, with the group bypassing the first round of auditions.

Happens alot more than this I bet, same with X Factor, agents probably contact the show

Everyone should have to go through the proper ways, auditioning for it etc

I understand why you are saying what you are: but in doing that: it could end up with all very lame crappy 'acts' - with talent like this being missed.

I honestly don't think there is anything wrong with it: if they have talent (and they sure have a hell of a lot more talent than a great many acts that the judges put through) - I really don't see the need for the fuss.

As I said: it is still up to Joe Public to vote for x/y/z....... the can only be fast tracked so far, as far as the winner of BGT goes.

I think both acts fully deserve this kind of break - as a platform, even if they don't win.

It's this type of show that can launch a career - and good ones: not like some of the naff ones that have 'won' in the past.

Nothing wrong with scouting for talent, if it leads to some great acts being found I've no problem with it.

At the end of the day all I see it as is an entertainment show rather than a talent show, so as long as the acts are entertaining, I'm happy.
