just got this report from AOL News!
![]() POP IDOL ALBUM SET FOR RELEASE ZOE Birkett says she is 'very proud' to appear on the forthcoming Pop Idol album. Pop Idol The Big Band Album features all 10 finalists singing their favourite swing tracks from the series. It will be released on April 8. The young wannabes are backed by The Big Blue, the orchestra which appeared during the series. Zoe, who appears on three tracks on the album, said: "Six months ago it was my dream to make an album. I never thought that it would actually come true. "To be singing some of the greatest, old-style tracks that I was brought up listening to makes this a doubly special occasion. I'm so proud of what we've all achieved." The full tracklisting is: Beyond The Sea - Will Young Get Happy - Zoe Birkett Let There Be Love - Darius Danesh Mack The Knife - Gareth Gates Ev'rytime We Say Goodbye - Jessica Garlick I Get A Kick Out Of You - Aaron Bayley I've Got You Under My Skin - Zoe Birkett That Ole Devil Called Love Again - Hayley Evetts I Won't Dance - Will Young Night And Day - Korben Cheek To Cheek - Rosie Ribbons They Can't Take That Away - Laura Doherty Oh Look At Me Now - Gareth Gates and Zoe Birkett Now that is going to be a brilliant Album!!!!!!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I can't wait for this. On C
![]() ![]() Dominic Mohan has been trying to make out it's another snub on Will (and Gareth this time) because Zoe is doing more singing on it, but they're going to have their own albums soon, so I'm sure they'll cope with Zoe having a little glory all of her own. Zoe deserves it, because to me she was the best on Big Band night and it's where she excelled. I missed on the tour because she had to pull out, but every review I've read of the tour said Get Happy was a read show stopper, so who cares if she 'only' came 4th. I'm going to have to go to the shop on Monday lunchtime to get it, then listen to it all afternoon with my headphones in the office. The only drawback is I can't dance while I'm plugged in. ![]() |
