Watched American Reunion earlier. It started really poorly. The main four (excluding Stifler) just talked really slowly and I'm not sure why it was so noticeable, but it was lagging in energy and just got off to a bad start (particularly with Kevin and Oz).
But then all of the side-characters began to appear, the music began to filter in, and the storyline got a lot better. The inclusion of Jim's dad as someone above a pantomime embarrassment figure was really nice, too. It ended up a really sweet, poignant film and anyone who enjoyed the first 3 (proper) films will love it. There weren't many LOL moments - although Stifler's party was great, and so was the twist towards the end. Spoiler:

It's still a favourite of mine, though, because it was such a "breakthrough" film in so many ways, including the soundtrack, incorporating Moog music by Walter, later Wendy, Carlos. Oh, and I love the flame-haired Adrienne Corrie ..... |

Very thought provoking. And it's almost dreamlike. I liked it a lot Low budget, and I think it was about the end of the world, wasn't too good. Disappointing, but it was still really funny in a few parts. Was pretty meh. Last edited by GypsyGoth; 16-06-2012 at 10:54 PM. |

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (re-make)
I really enjoyed it! Quite dark but thoughtful and Lisbeth + Mikael were really interesting and likable characters. 8.5/10

Throw Momma From The Train.
It was okay, nothing special. Was hoping for better after my Mum and Dad said how good it was. |

Memento
It worked backwards, found it a bit confusing tbh but I think I managed to "get" it. Really interesting concept. 7/10

Mulholland Drive last night.. it was pretty good and different without reading online to fully understand the story i would have been lost though because it gets confusing in the last part

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (Remake) 9/10
Haven't seen the original but this was absolutely fantastic. Easily one of my fave films of the past year. Haywire 7/10 A bit strange in parts but the action is pretty sharp and the story isn't too complicated. Not bad at all. The Woman In Black 7/10 Not quite as creepy as I'd hoped but is enjoyable nonetheless due to the period setting giving more atmosphere. The Grey 6/10 Was expecting Liam Neeson having a punch up with some wolves in order to get back his daughter/life, but was presented with an Arctic survival thriller. It's not bad but it wasn't anywhere near as good as I expected. Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol 9/10 Let's just say Bond has a hell of a lot to live up to. A top notch action thriller.

Deja Vu - 6.8/10
First hour or so was really good and interesting but the ending was a bit of a letdown. |

The Fellowship of the Ring - 10/10
The Two Towers - 8.5/10 The Return of the King - 10/10 Two Towers could have pushed for a 9 if it wasn't for Treebeard taking up half the film spitting out one sentence |

Bridesmaids Such a funny film. Have to say Melissa McCarthy stole the show though, any scene she was in = win.
