Found this description on the Tara website of the programme Brian will be appearing on: -
THE LATE LATE TOY SHOW - Friday 7th December 9.30 p.m., repeat Sunday at 2.30pm.. Pat Kenny and several little helpers test this year's hottest toys and predict the presents that Santa might be leaving in stockings this Christmas. Pierce Brosnan, currently making a non-Bond movie in Ireland, will be popping in as will Big Brother winner brian Dowling --------------------------------- I can just see Brian now bouncing around the studio on a space hopper, pogoing and hula-hooping!! |

I get my digital TV through NTL and they don't do Tara so I'm not going to be able to watch this.
I'm relying on you guys to keep me informed of what's going on. |

Oh no - I've just realised that I'm not going to be able to see this until the repeat on Sunday.
I've got my office Xmas night out tonight, and can't ask hubby to tape it 'cause he'll be watching Buffy at the same time. Rats!!! |

Right - I've now been able to watch this - here's my view.
The programme as a whole was pretty hard going, especially for someone like me who doesn't have 'little angels'. However, I thought Brian's little slot (far too little!!) was very funny and he was excellent - very natural and confident, and thoroughly enjoying himself. I think he would have made a far better job of presenting the whole programme, in fact. Great to see him again - but not on long enough. We want more Brian!!! Did anyone else see it? What did you think? |

Much the same as you. I thought the programme was utter dross. Sentimental clap trap, I taped it and just whizzed throught to the Brian bits and boy were they bits. He was only on for about 5 minutes in all and he did extremely well. He was funny, polished and at ease, but I do question why he thought it was a good idesa to do the show. I know the Late, Late Show is a national institution in Ireland but even so, what a load of old tosh, it was! Let's see Brian on something worthy of his talents.

Doing virtually no tv or radio when he came out of the house perhaps stopped him from becoming over-exposed, but it also meant his fan-base is limited to those who saw the show. Of course, it might also be a great excuse to get an all expenses paid trip back to the motherland. |

Just had a thought - perhaps they're grooming him to be a guest presenter of the Late Late Show when Pat Kenny's on holiday? That would be double cool!!

Kaz, It would be if I could actually see it, but as I don't get Tara it wouldn't be cool at all.

Hi LEE - I know it's not the same as actually watching him live, but if you visit Victoria's site at http://www.briandowling.net and click on the Late Late Show Screen Shots link on the main page, there are some fab still shots of Brian on the programme.
