Well, so people say, but its basically just that the smothering thing happened once or twice and the papers made such a big deal out of it that people think it happens all the time. Any responsible parent wouldnt leave a baby in a room with an animal anyway IMO.

But I guess it will be less stress too when the baby comes, as the cat demands attention all the time...and would get distressed at pretty much being sidelined.

My cat was doing that for a week and we got her neutered and she never did it again.
