I have to say that I don't agree.

Julie "tames" Julian. He has a rapid wit and can really liven up a conversation. Julie, while she has her moments, is generally far duller and seems to adopt a comfortable pair of slippers role when with Julian.

Put someone like The Situation with Julian more often, there lies the comedy gold.

They're both pretty boring and it's just the classic "oldies" getting together. The whole White Swallow thing was very cringey.

I love Julian and wish he had someone more on his level to spark off. Julie can be amusing, and in the absence of anyone else with a bit of genuine humour, I'll take her. But she can be awfully cringey... All that fake concern about nutty Jasmine after slagging her off gets on my nerves.

I think Julian is capable of winning this show and perhaps building up a whole new fan base. But for that to happen he has to be seen for what he is, witty, sharp and intelligent.

I just don’t see Julie bringing the “best” out of him.

The “White Swallow” started as a poorly executed joke, which was completely missed by nearly everyone who heard it. I doubt most of the audience got it either. But it has obviously become an “in-joke” bonding between two of the older HM’s. Naturally this is great for them, it will make them more relaxed in each others company.

However Julian is capable of far funnier and far more entertaining conversations. I just don’t see him producing his best with Julie.
