Default It's just a game...

...that's what they continually say isn't it!

Rhian says they had to hide the knives from Jasmine (maybe an over-reaction) and that Ashley was beside her in bed to 'protect' her...

...we are never shown footage of this and so 'the being in bed together' becomes something else altogether and Rhian is accused of leading on the petulant Ashley...

BB can change reality and perceptions to suit it's agenda, however what they do not do is come clean after the game is over to show us where they manipulated the audience.

Do you not think that if it IS only a game, then HMs should'nt have to carry the misconceptions into real life when the show is over or do you think that's what they sign up for and it's OK to tarnish or enhance a reputation through editing and the need to keep ratings up?

Much more than just a game, HMs continually try to tell themselves that as a defence-mechanism, but the truth of the matter is that the show gets very personal and it's very much a judgement of character. It can affect people in both positive and negative ways.

...would you agree with me then that as our judgment is manipulated by the editing, the show should come clean at the end and say where they purposefully misled the viewer? Even although the HMs know the score, IMO it's unfair for them to live with a lie outside the house forever more, perhaps...fair enough inside ~ it's the name of the game.

This is the problem with edited highlights and no live feed, they seem very reluctant to even give us live feed wven when they desigante time to it.
Last night for instance a half hor was supposed to be 'live' from the house, what we saw was half a programme taken up with the build up to the eviction then the announcement of the 2 who were safe,(certainly not live then), we then got about 10 minutes in total of actual live feed.

They can cover anything over by editing and it does seem we get far more misrepresentaion of what happens in the house and what housemates actually say and do than what does go on or the full context of what happens too.

Seeing as rhian went in there to dispell the myth she is a man stealing cow the edit she got did absoloutly nothing for her...
And the attitudes of her fellow HM'S to the events were disgusting.
The poor lass did nothing to encourage the little creep, he, mike and harvey are so used to being surrounded by sycophants they can't comprehend it when their advances are rejected so go on the attack.
Yes it is a game, but this behavior being not just tolerated but accepted is not.

I agree mate, but it's never going to happen. They wouldn't want to admit that they purposefully mislead the audience into hating/liking certain HM's.

As someone said the live shows were great, because you could make your own mind up, i remember occasions when i use to watch the live show and then the next day watch the highlight show and the editing would do certain HMs no favours. But again, i understand that compressing 24hours into an hour, well not even an hour, 40mins is difficult.
