Coincidentally, there was a piece on the BBC2 news this morning warning people of a similar scam - this one involving them being notified of winning a major prize in the Canadian Lottery.

The catch was that they were being asked to pay tax and insurance on the "winnings" before receiving them, and apparently some poor souls had paid up to £35,000! !! Not surprisingly, their major win never arrived.

Some people never learn!
