I don't really like Unions but I do feel they have a purposE.

Their problem seems to be that they haven't learned the gentler art of persuasion in politics and there is always an aggressive sound to their tone and actions.
Idoubt Labour as a party would allow dictation from the Unions but would listen to them and in reality the Unions often haven't worked with Labour Govts in the past and been more at odds with them at times than with Conservative ones.
