Default Alternative Wedding Outfit

Saw this in the Western Mail today. On Tuesdays, when I just happen to buy the paper for some reason, there is a section called “Big Boys Toys”. This week there was the following suggestion. Now what do you think Janette about this for a wedding outfit. Come to think of it I am sure it may appeal to someone else, especially if light sabres were included.

Princess Leia Outfit

“You’ve been waiting for this day all your life, now the most important thing is to ensure your wedding is Star Wars themed. While your wife-to-be may not initially warm to the idea of dressing up as Princess Leia, point out that unlike a traditional wedding dress this is machine washable. When she sees you in your Hans Solo outfit she will probably be very glad that you decided to abandon many of the hallmarks of the conventional wedding and may echo your please to the vicar that he dress as Darth Vader. This will mean you have made your special day chime with cultural resonance without making it an exercise in silliness unlike those freaks who exchange wedding vows in Klingon”

Well it certainly made me laugh

And you can always find someone who put their religion down as Jedi in the 2001 census to officiate

Alternatively, if you go by Star Trek you could always save money and have a Betazoid style wedding

I was browsing through Ebay for wedding dresses (yes i'm that cheap!) and I saw quite a few "alternative" costumes!

Goth is really "in" right now apparently, and black is the new white!!!!!!!

You'll be pleased to know, however, that I've gone for a simple, plain, off the shoulder ivory dress, and it's gorgeous!

But I think my OH would have quite liked me dressed as Princess Leia!

If he suggests it just tell him he'd make an excellent Jabba the Hutt

Jeanette

I think you would be hard pressed to beat this Panch Gonzales and Over fed Juliet combo from circa 1972.

What a happy pair!

And after 31 years, it's still as good as this!

I got my wedding dress today, it's too small for me so I need to lose some weight before May.

But it;'s absolutely gorgeous!

I am missing something here

why not get a wedding dress that fits ?

Better still, have a themed wedding, perhaps one based on Star Trek, I believe I have mentioned a low cost suggestion from there

The whole reason for getting a wedding dress is to look nice Sticks, and that is why I've bought one that's too small, so the I lose weight and look good!
