I cannot stand Lauren and Joey. Most of the older teens are quite unlikeable, so give me the younger lot e.g. Abi, Jay and Lola over them anyday!

I'm enjoying this Ava storyline. Didn't think I would but its been plotted out quite well.

Unlike the awful Joey/Lauren where they're suddenly madly in love within a week. No chemistry whatsoever. And Derek's gurning is boring too.

Can't wait for Derek to leave and then I might look forward to the Branning stories again.

Problem with the Branning's is yet again there is too much overkill of them, plus we have Ava's son Dexter on his way too who will be pally with Jay, Lola and Abi.

I prefer the Masood clan tbh.

As for the Mitchell's I hope they rebuild them and give Roxy more to do!

Yeah, they really need to cut down.
I'd happily just cut out the entire Derek, Joey, Alice and Jack leaving just the core Branning family again.

The show just needs a fresh, unrelated family IMO. New blood.

I quite like Alice, she is a nice and normal character which is what you need when most of the characters in the square are normally vile to one another and going through characters.

I agree that the show is in need of a new family and some more fresh blood, new storylines and ideas to liven the show up more.

He is not a Branning, although Tyler Moon needs the axe.

Tyler, Whitney, Fatboy, Tamwar, Lauren, Joey, Poppy, Alice, Derek, Jack, Kim, Ray, Kat, Alfie, Billy and Denise need to go. It's a shame, because I really like Denise (and Diane Parish is a fine actress), but there's simply nothing for her to be on the square for. She's been a "glorified extra" since all that nonsense with Lucas killing Jordan's dog and all that.

Think the last time the cast was so poor was in late 2006/early 2007, with Pretti/Deano/Carly/Bert/Joe.

I agree that there needs to be some fresh blood in the square and a family with no connections to the show as of present should arrive.

Denise simply needs more storylines because Diane Parish is a brilliant Actress and I hope that Lorraine Newman gives the character her deserved time to shine.

I'm actually enjoying the show lately. The Ava stuff is better than expected and hopefully the Derek stuff stays interesting leading up to Christmas.

But that Joey needs to leave, it was painful trying to watch him emote tonight.
