Lily Allen has publicly decried Paris Hilton, claiming her music career is a fad.

The singer finds it hard to believe that Hilton has been able to secure a record contract, and is bewildered that at members of the public who have gone out to buy it.

"Five years ago Paris Hilton's album would have done really well over here (in the UK), because we didn't have things like the Internet; we didn't have bands like myself or the Arctic Monkeys," Allen said.

"Now people can see (Paris) for what she is, and think: 'Go away! What makes you think you have a life?' Paris Hilton's album did really badly over here and I just think it's so boring and pathetic and it shouldn't happen. It's just laziness. People cheesy enough to buy albums like that should be killed."

Paris is allowed to make an album if she wants. She has JUST as much right to. She loves singing, and therefore can make an album, I dont think its up to anyone if she cant or not. She isnt terrible. In fact she isnt bad, but because her last name is Hilton, shes not allowed!

I did love some of Lily's songs that came out in the summer etc., but at the same time I feel she has no right to criticise others at all - saying they should be 'killed' is going a bit extreme as well. Who is she to say that? And at the same time bigging up her own music. The girl can't seem to keep her mouth shut. Then again, I highly doubt Paris will be affected in the slightest by Lily's opinion really.

Anyone who buys Paris' album should be killed? Wow she has the nerve to say something as pathetic as that! I'm not a Paris Hilton fan but I have no problem with anyone who likes her music. You can't judge anyone based on what music they like because everyone's taste of music is different. Not everyone will like Lilly Allen's crap.
