Default Alex Parks single

If anyone's interested it looks like her single will only make No.3 behind Westlife and Girls Aloud. Eek!

Yeah I saw that as well James and I think it is a big shame.

I can understand Westlife's redoing of Barry Manilow's Mandy as being a def No1, but Girls Aloud are complete crap.

I like Alex Parks - she was my fave in FA from day one - and I find I can't get her single out of my mind - I keep singing it.

I dont like Westlife anyway(Sorry to any Westlife fans), and even though I support Alistar as well as Alex I still think that its a shame that she wont get No1
Apprently she is the only Reality Tv winner not to reach No1(Not counting Popstars the Rivals here)

She is a fantastic singer, and what a great song she has written.

I liked her at the start but as the series went on thought that she did every song in exactly the same way.

When she did Imagine in the final I thought it was a case of Emperor's New Clothes. Tried to make it sound innovative but ended up destroying everything that made the original popular.

I've heard that may be her next single.

As for Westlife, it is one of life's mysteries how they have had 12 Number Ones. Can't remember any of them.

I would love to hear Alex perform something really well apart from angst. To be really successful she is going to have to expand her repatoire. Love to know just how much of that song she actually wrote.

It is growing on me, but I think they rushed things out quickly.

As much as I really do like Will, I'm afraid I don't like his new single much, and the video annoys the hell out of me

Even though I'm not struck on this single I do like Will and I'll probably get the album.

I bought Alex's album yesterday and I really like it.

It's a shame in a way that they rushed out an album as quickly as they did cos doing it this way it had to contain covers and this is bound to lessen it in some peoples eyes.

The covers are OK, the original stuff is stunning and I love it.

You'll be happy to know that Alex's record company aren't classing Introduction as a proper album as such, rather as a stop-gap to keep the fans who have supported her over the past few months happy.

She will be taking up to a year out writing and recording her first 'proper' album. She is being developed as an artist rather than being seen as the metaphorical cash-cow.

I agree Blinkin, the album is excellent. I adore the last song, it shows her voice off beautifully.

The covers had to be done as a thankyou to the fans for their votes during the show, and they are all very good. But the original songs are amazing!

I can't wait to hear more from her, and getting to number 3 is pretty damn good!

Can't say much about the gorgeous Mr Young's new album, OH has bought me it for christmas and even though I know where he's hidden it, I think I'll save listening to it till christmas day.

Sorry all ... but Mr Young does nothing for me, life is too short!

Over Conscious , that's the track, checked on the CD (I keep it playing whilst driving!)
