Dear Diary

Just a quick entry before I wend my weary way to Boris's Bar.

Is it really only Monday.

Day spent at work with one topic of conversation - the Rugby and GMTVs poll on Beckham vs Wilkinson. In our office Jonny came well out on top.

Cream cakes all round cos it was our junior's 18th at the week-end. Diet out of the window today.

All hands to the pump this afternoon as urgent injunction needed for tomorrow morning - oh why oh why do people have problems at the week-end.

Car playing up - I must book it in for that service this week. OH home late and therfore his dinner was dried up. If only he could have phoned, but he did eat it up with barely a complaint. Knew better.

So all cleared up and ready for some sensible chat and company. OH has gone off to his mother's to sort her central heating out. See you in the bar.

BB

I'm on my way to Boris's Bar as well Busy Bee, a drink is definitely in order after the day I have had.

It started off by taking 3 hours to get from home to Staples Corner - a journey that should take about an hour, but was held up by some sort of accident in the Richmond area that caused absolute gridlock. I wasn't amused.

Mind you the one good thing about this is that I had less time with the 'client from hell' who doesn't listen to anything I say to him, goes on and on and on indefinitely and then blames me when it doesn't work out at the end of the day - nothing to do with the fact he hasn't done one single thing I advised him all day of course

Then on the way home the traffic Lights were out at Hanger Lane so I got stuck on the North Circular yet again.

Boris's Bar, here I come.

Dear Diary

It's a dull dreary day. Came to work in the dark and it was raining torrentially.

My central heating is off at home because it's leaking somewhere obscure, and my backside and nose have only just thawed out.

I feel the need for some lunchtime retail therapy.....will report back later with purchases.....

Dear Diary

Day off from work today (though I did have to stay til 6.30pm last night to clear the 'must be done' work).

OH did something today that I cant remember him doing for a long time. Calm down. Calm down. = He went on public transport!!.

We went off to see Concorde's last flight over Bristol and this involved catching two buses. Its so long since he got on a bus he couldnt work out why there wasnt a conductor. Oh how he moaned about having to wait for a bus to come along.

Finally after getting soaked through we gave up on buses as everyone was trying to get on the thing and walked down into town. Traffic was horrendous.

He treated me to a late lunch and refused to get on another bus so we came home in style in a taxi. All he wants now is a nice cup of tea. Men!!!!

Think a nice couple of hours in The Bar will do me the world of good.
