New Labour Did this mess
You would be at School pushed to go to University and No Freaking Job Advice. If you are thinking of a Job you need 4 back up's Learn a Trade that is needed. For Example We Need Young Plumbers. Job Advice is needed more than False Education. This was debated on ITV1H Daybreak this morning. Last edited by arista; 23-01-2013 at 06:09 AM. |

Industry and manufacturing is dying. Kids learning trades today might find their skills surplus to requirements in 15-20 years, and what happens then? If you go into education with the right frame of mind, then it will never be false. |

What the world doesn't need is another round of media studies and performing arts students. Some young people are encouraged to have unreaslistic dreams of careers out of their reach. I do agree there should be more encouragement for people to go into vocational education, learn a trade, get some skills you can sell. Not everyone is cut out for university and yet it seems to be the natural progression now, whether you're academic or not.
