Its not about corruption, its about police units giving undercover operatives the best possible cover, using real identities.

Depends on your viewpoint but personally giving an op an identity that can be traced back to birth and hopefully keep him alive to do his job is worth a few upset parents. It may seem harsh but such are the realities of life.
