The mom of eight recently starred in an episode of ABC's "Celebrity Wife Swap" with another reality star mom, Kendra Wilkinson, and their edition brought in record ratings.
The season 2 premiere, which aired on Tuesday, was watched by 7 million, a 4 percent increase over the last season opener of "Celebrity Wife Swap," ABC says. Ratings were up in the 18-49 demographic by 6 percent, giving the episode the best numbers in the show's history.
In the episode, now single mom Gosselin switched places with former "Girls Next Door" star Wilkinson, a Playboy cover girl who's mom to four-year-old "Little" Hank, her son with husband Hank Baskett. Gosselin was tasked with trying to adjust to Wilkinson's more laid-back parenting style, while Wilkinson was challenged with watching over Gosselin's brood of eight.
For her part, Gosselin made the most of being a temporary mom of one.
“It feels great to relax. This is what I’ve been missing,” she said. “I am very focused on my kids, and maybe I do need to step away a bit and start dating.”
Wilkinson, on the other hand, learned why structure can be important in parenting. "It made me realize if I can do it with eight kids," she said, "I can do it with one."
