I actually meant to post that in a different thread, curse of having multiple tabs open I guess. We permaban in if we think if you are irredeemable but generally we'll only ever ban someone for 3/6 months at most.

I used to be for permabans but I've kinda gone off them now, I think that the idea of banning someone for life is a bit silly really when clearly after 5, 10 years (even before then) they'd have changed and would deserve another shot. It's like when I look at old threads from like 2007 and see loads of permanently banned members with about 700 posts that I've never even heard of and I just think - why?
