Obviously I also think he will clarify things more clearly too when the next election is due.
I also believe and hope I am right to, that he will lead and guide the Labour party to present policies that deal with the problems but which are strongly tempered with fairness, understanding and compassion too, unlike some of the policies of this heartless lot in Govt. now.

Erm, Ed's an ambitious and ruthless politician not a saint .....

The days of Aneurin Bevan are long gone - the days of Tony Blair are upon us - altruism is out, egoism is in .....

I am now firmly of the view that at the very least there would be more fairness, understanding and compassion in Labour's policies no matter what leader they had than what is coming forward with increasing regularity from this Govt. from the likes of Duncan Smith and this Chancellor too.

Without some greater understanding and an aim to inject compassion and fairness into policy would be disastrous for the Labour party and they are firmly well aware of that too.

Ed Miliband may be ruthless, that doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing in a politician but I still believe myself, he has more genuine compassion in him than the likes of Duncan Smith and in fact this whole Coalition Govt led by David Cameron.

IMO, you're going to be very disillusioned .....

Pragmatism is the mark of the modern politician .....

Well Omah, that will be 2 elections in a row where I will end up disillusioned if it happens.
In 2010,I voted Lib Dem and really was disillusioned from July onwards of that year with them.

I never expected the heartless policies that have come from this Govt,I accepted hard decisions had to be made but this lot have just gone way too far and still are too.
I also now believe that the policies needed likely would not have been so harsh and unfair from a Labour Govt.
As you say, when it happens I however may well end up very disillusioned again.
Somehow though I doubt it, as even the basics of the policy being planned by the Labour party at present all sound far better and fairer than what is in place at present.

Ah, but, whatever the party, what they say and what they do are usually two different things - there have been over 40 u-turns and climb-downs from the present government .....
