It's not being sold on the smell, it's being sold on the association with the her celebrity.
That celebrity is looking a bit tarnished. And the shop probably doesn't want to be seen to be associated with her. If she had any sense as a businesswoman she shouldn't have behaved the way she is. I'm sure she doesn't realise the harm she is doing to herself, but her agent must be having kittens. |
