I reckon it will get around 3 million, more than what both BB12 and 13 launched with

2-3 million mark. Maybe less I think it has run it's course with the mainstream British audience and is very much a cult fan show. Regardless of change or not the reputation was tarnished long ago.

Depends on the schedule, we'll have a better idea Wednesday when we know the date and the competition.

Half a mill up on last year? I hope so. I think the competition would have to be as crap as CBB11's faced for it to jump that much, but I can see a 200 or 300k increase with the new ads and series title.

Wait till we have a start date (Wednesday afternoon), there's no rush. Pointless everyone making uninformed, shot in the dark predictions only for the schedules to reveal unexpectedly tough or easy competition and force us all to revise them.

how i'm feeling now

I don't want to over-predict, because normally when we expect ratings to be high they aren't. I would estimate 3m or just below it - slightly above last years launch.

3.2 If they promote it well and I think CBB11 will help I think this year will be the best channel 5 normal BB ratings

I think about 2.9 possibly 3.0 purely based on Emma being the new host.
Obviously she will have some promo tour on Loose Women and This Morning both shows she presents on or will atleast get talked about and the Channel 5 shows If they could play that advert in full during primetime then people would be wanting to tune in just to see what its all about. I would like to see the ad played in a segment when shes being interviewed about the show on Loose Women or something. Last year aswell they promoted when the series was still going keeping the ratings up. Emma seems to make this show look like the real deal now whilst Brian just made it a cheap joke. Remember the last 2 BB launches both got 2.7 million so 3 million isn't far off and I think the producers would be happy with that. Hoping the show can average 2 million or more this year as a lot of last years highlights were just below hitting the mark with loads of episodes getting 1.9. If the Olympics hadn't been on that series could have average 2 million itself. Last edited by daniel-lewis-1985; 25-05-2013 at 09:20 AM. |

3.2 I think Emma as host, the whole format changes, and advertising campaign will intrigue some of the ch 4 viewers and casuals. Id love to say a rating nearer 4mil but id be very surprised.
3.2mil, possibly winning its slot or coming 2nd. Launch night is critical for the show, I hope 5 get it right. |
