Default Has Big Brother passed its sell by date

At the beginning it was fresh and innovative, now all we get auditioning are a bunch of exihibitionist wannabees who know how to "play the game"

At the beginning it was cutting edge - now they seem to scrape the barrel to make things "unique"

Has this become like one of theose TV series, muched loved, but eventually get canceled mid season due to poor ratings and increasing sillyness despised even by the person who hosts it - Like Blind Date became

If no

How can it be revived ?

Last year I made a prediction that BB3 would seem great compared to BB4

I make this prediction that BB4 will seem like the good old days compared to BB5

Law of diminishing returns ?

Or am I extremely pessemistic ?

I think this year's BB is make or break. If the reaction is the same as last year's then Endemol may well have a re-think about another series. Let's just keep our fingers crossed.

Blind Date lasted about 18 years, didn't it?

Ask yourself what programme they would put on as the same time as Big Brother, and would you watch it.

I hope it has not passed it's sell by date. But if BB5 turns into another one man show obsession like BB4. Then I doubt there will be any more series.

One man shows are only good for those that like the "one man" The rest turn off in there droves. I hope and pray they have learned that lesson and don't try and repeat any similar type personalities in BB5. If not. then it will be goodby BB forever......

I remember watching an interview that took place before BB2, where a company executive being interviewed gave the clearest impression that BB2 would be THE LAST ONE

They then went back on their word and the results were BB3 and BB4

Need we say more ?

I hope it's not past it's sell by date I fear, however, that if this series is not good then the producers will be forced to ditch the show
I love BB always have and always will and, like you all, watch the show no matter how good/boring it is! last year was calm in BB terms for us viewers, we wanted nice and quiet and that's what we got! I believe the producers try to change the show each year to keep it entertaining, no one will replace those past housemates we know that and so do they! they tried to look for another Brian last year and did not get one! Hopefully they make the right decision this year, but whatever the show is like I for one will still be watching!
