First up we have the entry from everybody's favourite ginger and potato...

"What are you going to be called?" "Pass Da Pizza" (as in "pass the pizza"; a play on the word Pasta) ![]() ![]() "Authentic Italian with a TiBB Twist" "How can we draw in customers?" With every new start up restaurant you need to get customers to come in! And what better than inticing them with discounts! We will develop a smart phone app to help us with this. Before the opening, advertisements for a new smart phone App. New users are sent a voucher that they can bring to the restaurant and it can be scanned. This will help encourage people to come and AT LEAST sample the menu. We hope this goes towards starting our customer base, leading to word of mouth and recommendations. ![]() The smart phone app can then be used to communicate offers/deals and special nights at our restaurant. A Facebook page and Twitter account can be started free of charge and can be linked to via the smart phone app or can be searched for easily. https://www.facebook.com/groups/117788451764802/ We will have walking advertisements around the town/city, hired by us. Handing out similar discount vouchers as the smart phone app offers, reaching those potential customers who aren't tech savvy, one voucher per customer! ![]() "Who will work for us?" We'll make sure to bring in authentic, fully qualified staff to ensure the best customer service and food is supplied and the best experience is provided. Meet Marco, our in-house chef. ![]() "What is your Menu?" Out menu will be laid out on each table on an electrical platform, ideally smart touch pad technology where people can flick through the menu and place orders. The electrical menu will allow people to take their time with ordering, whilst also ensuring that they get exactly what they wish (with and option to supply additional dietary information). As well as providing the menu directly to the customers, the stock levels can be monitored and menu options can be adjusted accordingly, showing customers what menu options are available or not available on the day. When selected, their order will be fed through to the kitchen and to the waiting staff. Customers orders will be read back to them and any incorrect information can be rectified before placing their final order. The same ordering system can be implemented for drinks. ![]() Spoiler: "What will make you stand out?" Our restaurant will provide a variety of themed days/nights in order to appeal to different customer bases and not just one select group of people. A few examples: - Training lunches, where customers are charged to be trained in making certain dishes themselves. - Dance nights, where the restaurant can be closed and cleared for dance lessons. - Tribute nights, where the restaurant go'ers are offered a discount meal alongside a tribute act. (ABBA, Gaga etc) ![]() ![]() "How will you stay profitable?" In order to stay competitive and also profitable we rely strongly on themed days/evenings as well as discount and flexibility to all whilst at the same time ensuring that our finances are kept strong and food is charged at a 40% profit margin on regular nights (e.g. food is charged 40% higher than the cost of purchasing the raw materials) and dipping as low as 25% on themed nights etc. To provide flexibility in our service our smart phone apps can be used to place takeaway orders (as well as online takeaway chains like JustEat and telephone ordering) and these takeaways to be collected at first because realistically we'll need to earn enough before eventually branching out to home deliveries after a year with drivers and vans funded by our amazing profits. ![]() ![]() |
