Not sure how a jury could decide beyond a reasonable doubt that he abducted her given that she stated on oath that she begged him to come away with her, she was going to run off anyway and he went with her to at least try and talk some sense into her.

Not sure how this is proved to be "abduction" ????

Tough one to call, as the adult he is responsible and should be punished , However she is not blameless and must take some of the blame. I hope his sentence is short and that he learns from this mistake.

Still think applying the term "abduction" is misapplied and out of context with what actually happened...!!!

I think because he was an adult, his duty was not to go with her, but to inform her parents that she was running away.
