Consider the types of people that enter the BB house. Argumentative, loud, opinionated. Being able to "get along" with people in the outside world is fine, but it means little in the house.
All it takes is for a HM to disagree with one person and the sh*t can hit the fan. Being locked up for an entire summer means fights are inevitable. And its the outside world that is judging who is in the "right".
The problem with BB is that its far more fun to watch than live. Few people have made a success of it after leaving the house. Most are forgotten by the general public, but locally they will always be that w**ker that did such and such on that TV show.
And while you might consider yourself a "nice" person, thousands might hate you because you openly b*tched about someone who you didn't get on with, someone that was popular with the viewers for some reason or another.
They warn people before going into the house that the experience could ruin their lives. How many people go in as HMs thinking that they are going to be hated on the outside?
Sallie is the perfect example. Chances are shes fun loving and popular in "real" life. She probably believed that she'd click with lots of people inside, while her out going nature and willingnes to get stuck into tasks would make her popular with the viewers. And look what happened there...
