Xbox Live prices go up with switch to real money
The new, real-money Xbox Live has seen a rise in the cost of games.
Beta testers say that their existing Microsoft Points are automatically converted into currency without warning, reports Eurogamer.
1200 Microsoft Points converted into real money will no longer allow a user to purchase a game previously priced at 1200 MSP.
1600 MSP games now cost £14.99, when they were once the equivalent of £13.60. 1200 MSP games have increased from £10.20 to £11.99, 800 MSP games from £6.80 to £8.99, and 400 MSP games from £3.20 to £4.49.
The new prices bring the XBLA games in line with PlayStation Network prices.
The change to real money was announced at Microsoft's pre-E3 conference last month.
Microsoft is yet to comment on the price hike.
