I get the feeling that everyone wants to like Dexter but finding it hard because of his game playing which they really cannot get their heads around.

I'm not sure to what extent they realise it is all just a game with him.

I found it hilarious and I'm a Dexter fan, and a fan of them both

I've said it before but I'll say it again, I really can't understand how some people let their favourites dictate what other housemates they like, like if their favourite starts hating someone else said supporter will do too or if another housemate insults their favourite they'll stop liking that person. We're not living with them...I don't see how their personal relationships with each other could affect someone's own personal opinions

Amen to that. Its almost as bad as people claiming 'fans' of housemates put them off the housemates themselves. Utter madness.

And that was the point of the conversation, I think. All very jokey but the only thing that Dan has sussed out about Dexter is that he's survived a lot of evictions, and he's far from happy about that.

Dan is great fun to watch because he lacks self-awareness and is so vain. It was pretty telling that he was attacking Dexter for his appearance, but with Dan, I can never see past the nose-job, capped teeth and lightbulb head.

I'm not going to lie I have thought about that a lot, I just find some fan bases are more aggressive & way too defensive than others, I know it shouldn't affect my feelings of a housemate, but I find it a little irritating, and I end up associating that feeling with the housemate, I know I shouldn't but I think I do it subconsciously

I just dont understand that way of thinking at all. What some randomer writes on a forum has absolutely nothing to do with how I view the housemates, and never will. Maybe I'm just different to others

So there is other people on this forum that can watch the show and judge each segment unbiasedly.

I've been convinced for weeks that no one was watching the same programme as me with some of the posts/threads I've seen.

Honestly, it was one of the funnier parts of the show tonight. My opinion on Dexter is up and down - down at the minute. Love Gina (have since the first task) and love Dan at the minute(been up and down) too and I thought it was hilarious. Whether just harmful or malicious it was funny!

In truth, Dexter has been taking every opportunity recently to try and belittle a certain other housemate and plenty of people on here have found that funny - how is this any different?

I think it was harmless, and funny. Dexter is a conundrum, he is extremely clever and calculated in a humourous way, he is unpredictable goes on about the different woman he dates and the reasons why and looks all of 12.

Dan concluded the chat with but I love him. You got to take the conversation as a whole to understand the meaning not pick bits of it.

Dexter is desperate to be liked and the other housemates want to like him, but all his game playing makes it rather difficult for them

If there is any tragic aspect to this I guess you can say this is it.

well because I'm a huge Dexter fan I didn't like it when they called him tragic either, wish folk would pick on someone else even if just for a bit but saying all that Dexter can take it, he don't give a chit what they say

You're right it's not nice but neither is calling Callum a pyscho, creepy or Norman bates but people do. I would rather be called skinny etc than that to be fair. You can't have one rule for your favourite and another for the ones you don't like.

By the way, I do like Dex and am not a Callum fan particularly but I think that this conversation was pretty light hearted and not malicious.
