Insecurity.
Her little laugh after every sentence is an awkward giggle. She's uncomfortable and feels the need to make herself seem "cool" and "hip" and every now and then she takes it too far, like her parents allowing her to go clubbing at age 14. When an adult (Dan) sees through the bull she doesn't like it and goes on the defensive like a child. |
