WHEN I heard that that first two evictees in the Big Brother final would be interviewed together, I was furious.

After BB allowed Jo O'Meara to leave the house protected by Cleo on Friday, I didn't want to be robbed of watching Danielle Lloyd squirm as she walked out to enormous boos.

But in the event, Danielle being evicted with Jack worked well. Just like his time in the house, he might as well have not been there.

Unbelievably, Danielle grinned as Davina showed her footage of the worldwide news coverage her antics had provoked.

After watching the squirm-inducing evidence, she professed to feel "terrible about it" - before admitting that the awful things she'd said had just "came out".

She insisted that it was a natural reaction to start laughing when someone was being bullied right in front of you (AHEM!).

Then Danielle added somewhat chillingly, "I just thought we were girls being girls, I never thought we were being racist." And she was confident that Shilpa would be totally understanding about it all when she was shown exactly what had been going on behind her back.

Danielle just seemed not to be taking in the enormity of the situation. It was all - like most things in life except footballers and fish fingers - going right over her head.

When Davina asked her the stock question number 462 - What Have You Learned From The Big Brother Experience? - she immediately answered, smiling: "Not to be such a bitch." It would been slightly more believable if we hadn't seen her promise the exact same thing in the diary room chair during her Best Bits - oops, sorry, Story Of Her Time In The House.

After Davina had lied to H From Steps that he'd "gone into the house as H and come out as Ian", Dirk Benedict was finally put out of his misery.

In the end, good conquered evil and the right person probably won.

But somehow I reckon that when we think back to Celebrity Big Brother 5, it's not going to be the winner we remember most. Is it?
