Pete had a legitimate issue he couldn't control. Callum is the way he is by design. He may legitimately believe that he's some kind of guru who can counsel everyone else, and the everyone else just needs his wisdom to be better people, but it wasn't born that way. He chooses to spout off his self help bs every time he opens his mouth.
