Default Cheated - Dan

I am a die hard Big Brother fan and enjoy the Big Brother 'game' as it were. I do not normally share my views but felt I had to express my disappointment at this latest 'twist'. This appears to be a manipulation by Big Brother to evict who they see fit. All contestant 'game play' went out the window this week when the Big Brother producers, under the guise of a 'lie', engineered it so that Sophie, Sam and Dan were put to the public vote. No nominations, just a change in the rules. Dan didn't stand a chance. I enjoy the tactical Big Brother game of watching the contestants manipulate one another to avoid nominations whilst keeping it 'real' in the diary room (Aaron, Marcus, Victor, Freddie). The whole concept of the 'game' went out the window when Big Brother took the choice from them, and we have unwittingly lost a 'big' character. If I was Dan, I would feel cheated.

it could of been any one up though.
they picked the wrong ones anyway thanks to charlie being bossy. if they had more time i reckon they would of put 2 that were,'t favs in the safe house like dan and the twins then they would picked hazel
so the 3 up and who went would of been very differen't,

they could and nearly picked the twins. shame they didn't
dan was just unlucky

No lies told with Hazel/Daley and Gina/Dexter when they were in the 'safe' house - when it suits I feel!

I still feel it was concocted so that the house would pick Sam and Sophie and therefore they would be up for eviction. It was the only way they ever would be.

Dan being the person they picked proved to be the spanner in the works.

The first bit was certain, the producers would have known that logically the house would pick Samphie. The second bit was less predictable maybe they hoped it would have been the twins they picked.

Unfortunately Dan had annoyed too many people.
In Big brother world the people have no power. BB was becoming manipulated by the housemates. They were going round saying who should be put out. That to me is talking noms. The only way to stop this was to take charge.
It was up to the public who they wanted out.
Obviously many people were not entertained by Dan. At rest his face was of an absolute grump.

I agree, I think Big Brother were banking on Sophie and Sam picking the twins...still, the manipulation is there, and the housemates don't stand a chance with the game they play if BB bend their lies. Bring back vote 'to save'. How can you save when you have to 'evict' all other housemates.

I thought it was completely ILLOGICAL to choose the SAFEST housemates to be immune from eviction ...unless you mean it was logical to choose them as they are the most universally liked housemates?

Do they think that putting the safest housemates in there is 'fair' in the HMs opinion because otherwise somebody who might otherwise not be evicted, would be, as the person who should have gone has been put in the safe house?

I'm sure BB would have engineered further "lies" to save the twins had they gone in the safe house.... annoyingly

I meant the producers were logical to think that the house would put Samphie in the safe house as they were liked across the board by the group.

Hi BKelly!

You're right about Dan being in a position to "feel cheated"!...and not being a Dan fan, i'd like to take this opportunity to tip my hat to the lad for taking it so well [I was honestly surprised at how stoically he took his lot on the main show and on BOTS ]But I also have to say that you are obviously in the minority with your views about Dan being so special that he should not have been evicted by quirk of falling foul to the devilishly-clever twist! ...let's face it...if it happened to ,let's say Gina...she wouldn't have gone!...and if it had been a hm that you weren't too fond of...I doubt that you would have started a thread to mourn the loss!

oh!...and bb had nothing whatsoever to do with last week's eviction...they didn't decide who went in the safehouse...or who Sophie and Sam picked to join them!...so how you are implying a fix...I don't know?...it was down purely to Luck..and his popularity falling short of Sophie and Sam's.

Cheers.

I do think it might have been a different result if it had been vote to evict.

Yes he was cheated,no doubt at all,Emma said as much on Friday, then Rylan and Aj definitely said it.
The panel did too.

Under vote to evict it was always going to be hard to stay for Dan against 2 housemates the public had few real views as to either way so they wouldn't pick up the phone lines to evict them
As they also would not have picked up the phones to save them under vote to save,
Under vote to save all the Dan supportes would have been able to virtually ensure he was safe.

I accept BB didn#t choosethe housemates to be up but they created the scenario whereby these 3 were up, they also removed the whole nomination process by the housemates and didn't involve the public too in any way at all.

With the scrapping of vote to save too, they,BB themselves, engineered this result on friday and for me that was shameful,no matter which of the 3 had gone or for that matter whoever was in the safe house too.

I completely agree with you BKelly and all your opening post.
