Well to say you saw a purple mist might sound a bit off but it's just a way of explaining he was angry. Seriously, it's the first real thing the band wagon could really latch onto that could have any Merritt to saying he's crazy and every other word that's been used for him.

Agree. The mist is red cuz red denotes danger etc. I have no idea what Callum was on about and I doubt he does either.
