I did not see that coming out all, I really liked first movie,

second, I didn't even know about till I heard news about The Butterfly Effect 3, I was like , when did second come out? , So, about 2 years ago, I watch 2 and 3 back to back.

I didn't like the second at all, I thought it really bad, so I sold it and then 3rd one not bad at all, I thought it was very decent but much better the second one but still not as good as the first one.

FilmEngine and Benderspink are teaming for a reboot of the Ashton Kutcher 2004 sci-fi feature "The Butterfly Effect".

The story starred Kutcher as a college student who finds his consciousness can travel back in time to inhabit his younger self. He uses the ability to change several horrific childhood traumas.

By changing them however, it has unintended consequences on his present life and only ends up harming those he cares about.

Shot for just $13 million, the film made $96 million at the box-office and spawned two direct-to-DVD sequels.

The original film's writer-director Eric Bress is on board to pen the new script, but no director is yet attached.

The first film's producers A.J. Dix, Anthony Rhulen, Chris Bender and JC Spink will again produce.

I think it was a great concept for a film and it was done very well but a remake needs to upgrade the cast while mostly sticking to the original story... and I think the deleted ending works far better than the actual one they used in the original so they should use that in this remake. I don't want some A-list cast taking up the roles unless they're going to do them justice.
