Default How much does football boost the local economy?

Ive heard it said big clubs boost the local economies....how much is this really true?

30,000 people marching to west ham every other weekend for example....how much do they spent and how much does it cost in policing and lost revenues from damage or from shoppers avoiding the area due to the crowds and the general atmosphere which can be intimidating etc

whats your guesstimate here? are there figures>
