Moyes clearly wants a new left back. Can be seen from him wanting Baines. Baines wasn't happening so he went for Coentrao. Coentrao has been loosely linked for some weeks.

Not defending this crap that went on today, but I doubt Coentrao was brought in to appease fans as let's be honest it appeases nobody.
