Did you or do you (if you still live with parents) get pocket money?
I used to get £30 on a Friday night to do stuff with my friends over the weekend, cinema, ice skating etc.. But when we were a bit older we used to pretend we were going somewhere then spend it on booze Last edited by Josy; 06-09-2013 at 07:56 PM. |

I just used to get £2 to buy sweets on a Friday when my mum picked me up (this was in primary school) and I'd stock up on pick n mix because it was really good at the shop we went to and it'd last me the weekend, as I got older I just asked for money if I needed it.

My parents give me money every money to spend on train tickets, food when I go etc, a lot of the time it goes on stuff like flights and books though, although I'm trying to save most of it at the moment.

I use to get £30 old Irish pounds in the 80's when I was a teen. I only get €50 now, which is pretty lousy considering inflation.

I can't actually remember how much I used to get but I had to earn it by doing jobs and if I didn't do them, I wouldn't get any money....

Not really, if I needed money for something or to go somewhere I'd just ask for it.

I used to get €5 every weekday for food and the bus, got free lunches in school but didn't tell my mother, that lasted like 6 years, does that count as pocket money?
Right now I am the one who gives money to my mother when she needs it. :P
