I have The Lord of the rings audiobooks because I don't read books that don't have mucky pictures in them and they are actually really good. You can just lie back with your eyes closed and immerse yourself in the world.

I've got LOTR in written form albeit on my kindle. I found it quite a slog to be honest. I'm more into horror, mystery, espionage those type of things.

You could always have a look on amazon, they have a massive collection of audio book CDs and then select a sub genre from there. The reviews from people can sometimes be a good indicator of quality.

I loved this audiobook. The reader was excellent, and he really got the characters across well. It's funny in places but also quite spooky. The mystery is well drawn and well paced. It's the first in a series of books, of which I think there are four currently available. Listen to the sample to see if the narrator clicks for you Last edited by DanaC; 25-09-2013 at 12:57 PM. |

I listened to all the Harry Potter audiobooks; they were all good. There was something about Stephen Fry doing all the voices that worked really well. I've tried a few others but cant get into them.
