..did anyone see that other story about a 'missing girl' who was found with a family of Romas..in Greece, I think..and she was meant to be their daughter but her DNA says she isn't...the 'mum' was meant to have registered having given birth to 6 children in 10 months....

...no actually, I think that's what was reported..well the couple had been arrested and the police were looking at the parentage of some of the other children, which is how they found out that 'six births' in 10 months had been recorded..if I was a cynic I would have mentioned a connection with another high profile news story, which was also 'reported'/connected in that story...

I wonder why they feel the need to do it.

I suppose stories like this coming to light give hope that other missing children could be found one day.

I would imagine that people in small traveling groups would need a generational influx of outside genes, otherwise inbreeding would cause their group to eventually die out.

..you mean, why they feel the need to take children, if that's what's happened..?...the 'mother' has said that the child was handed to her as a baby because the real mother didn't want her...

..hmm, it could be true because the police didn't say that they were investigating a certain missing child, it'll be interesting to see what the outcome of their investigations is...and whether they'll be charged with anything, which I don't think they have been yet..just arrested,....
