Default First Weekly Task - Food to Go.

Big Brother has just annoumced the housemates first weekly task.

From today, the Big Brother house will be turned into a fast food joint - Big Bro: Food To Go - where the housemates will become employees servicing Big Brother's insatiable appetite.

A phone will arrive in the house and its ring will trigger the housemates into action... they will don fast food joint workers' outfits including name badges with merit stars, and they'll have to provide whatever food the Voice of God wants, in double quick fast food time, well 30 minutes...

The menu will include hot dogs, pizzas, burgers and milkshakes and whenever Big Bro is feeling a tad peckish, or just wants to annoy the housemates, they will call the phone.

Whoever answers must rally their fellow housemates to prepare, cook and deliver any item at any time of day or middle of the night.

No order should take more than 30 minutes to make and when ready it will be couriered to the Diary Room by mini tricycle.

As a group you are allowed to deliver no more than three incomplete or late orders over the course of the task. If the group delivers more than three incomplete or late orders, the group will fail the task

The task will run 24hrs a day until Wednesday. Should the housemates successfully complete the task they will be awarded a "Privilege Pass" which will be redeemable against a choice of awards.

· All housemates participating in the task must be dressed in their full uniform. This will include answering the phone, preparing the food and delivering the food.

· Big Brother will place food orders via the telephone in the kitchen. Whenever it rings, one housemate must answer the phone within 3 minutes.

· Housemates must answer the phone saying, “BIG BRO – FOOD TO GO! MAY I TAKE YOUR ORDER PLEASE?”

· At the end of each order housemates must ask the question, “WOULD YOU LIKE FRIES WITH THAT?” before hanging up the telephone.

· The storeroom contains all food items necessary for the task. The storeroom will remain open for the duration of the task. After taking each order the housemates must go the storeroom to retrieve the food items.

Well in the task rules I posted above it does say tha a hairnet is a compulsory part of the uniform for the task, and even though Marco hasn't got any hair I bet BB would still penalise them if he didn't.

Here's an update from the Official Website

Fries With That Shake?

The housemates said they were hoping for a tasty task and Big Brother delivered in the shape of Big Bro Food To Go. Maybe they should be careful what they wish for.

Marco and Michelle squealed when they found they had a task but when Nadia saw the very-unsexy fast food uniforms she squealed, "Oh, I'm not doing that."

And when Victor saw the gear he spluttered, "Get lost, I'm not wearing these," while Stuart wondered if the guys had to wear hairnets as well as the girls.

Sadly for Michelle, there was no chicken on the menu, chicken.

Some more reluctantly than others, the gang changed into their fast food outfits. They then split up into teams and decided to cover the 24-hour fast food outlet in six-hour shifts.

It didn't take long for Victor to embrace the challenge though, telling everyone to take it seriously while donning a hairnet, under a cap, under his fast food hat. Very un-bling.

The first shift fell to Ahmed, Marco and Nadia. It wasn't long before Ahmed was trying to tell Nadia how to chop lettuce and a little tension developed.

We can definitely expect sparks to "fry" in the kitchen over the next few days...

---------------------------------

I laughed at this....

First order has been taken article here....

Top Dogs

Big Brother's first food order from the servile housemates ended with the delivery of three perfect hotdogs at a flying rate.

For the duration of their first task, the housemates will have to be on call around the clock to take telephone orders for food from an eternally hungry Big Brother.

The first demand for grub came at just after twenty to seven this evening, when Emma and Michelle were on shift.

Predictable havoc ensued when the phone rang, but after initially screaming their heads off and stumbling towards the handset, the girls, kitted out in their 'Big Brother: Food To Go' uniforms, eventually got their act together.

"Hello 'Big Brother: Food To Go' please can I take your order please?" Michelle enquired.

Big Brother, it soon became apparent, wanted three hotdogs within 30 minutes please.

"Pass us your buns!" screamed Emma as the order was passed to the kitchen. "Frying pan! Frying pan! Frying pan!" she screamed, and continued to scream until Michelle was eventually able to locate the "**********g" apparatus.

"We're so s**t," grumbled Michelle as she surveyed the scene of carnage.

But she ate her words when, just 14 minutes later and 16 minutes ahead of deadline, Emma had packed the sausages into their buns and into her cart and was peddling furiously towards the Diary Room.

So enthusiastic was the Oldham administrator about her new delivery girl status that Michelle had to remind her that she wasn't expected to actually drive the truck into the Diary Room but was probably allowed to dismount outside and walk through.

This was mentioned on BBLB on sunday. Yes. they are allowed but if they run out of food and can't complete an order. They fail the task.

As far as I know BB has not told them this.....

this is such a good task! I'd love to do it, it looks so fun! One of the best yet I'd say. Although it makes me hungry looking at those hotdogs and burgers...

Fast Food Failure

One of the largest orders came in during the early hours for the boys on night duty at the Big Bro burger bar. And though the self-named Rapid Reaction Force rallied to action, they failed to deliver within the half-hour deadline.

Big Brother was obviously hungry, requesting five chicken burgers, two milkshakes, three Margarita pizzas and two hotdogs. Victor loudly repeated the order several times before shouting: "Wash your hands, everyone!" like a demented toilet attendant.

While Dan took charge of the Margarita pizzas, Stuart wandered round aimlessly pondering the eternal mysteries of takeaway containers. Consulting the images supplied, he seemed confused about which box to use for which item. Strange for such an intelligent boy.

"We may have sent about a million burgers out in the wrong container!" he fretted as Dan showed him how to put a pizza box together.

"Do they want anyfing with the burgers or...?" asked Victor, receiving a sharp "no" from Dan, who had enough of working with such amateurs.

The Londoner then questioned whether he was keeping an eye on the time, and though Dan insisted he was, the deadline was approaching faster than he thought.

Victor then confused Stu further by asking whether the burger containers were correct.

Smart Stu frowned and pointed at a picture. "The way they've photographed it, it's upside down," he rambled. "It's strange..." he trailed off, hysteria building in his voice.

Stuart gives in to road rage

As they waited for the last pizza to cook, Victor suggested the oven should be on full blast. "It is on full blast!" growled Dan, bobbing up and down in agitation.

"This time limit is getting a bit risqué, isn't it?" said Stu nervously. "We've still got five minutes," assured Dan, unknowingly already over the deadline.

Gaining his composure, Stu headed over to get the delivery bike warmed up, and was soon making noises like a coffee percolator.

"I might have to break a few speed limits," he warned, revving the tricycle's imaginary engine. "But it's all in the name of fast food."

After racing to the drop-off point, the boys decided they were well within the time limit.

Alas, no. They were nearly five minutes over time - making two strikes against the group.

Wednesday's privilege pass now hangs in the balance...

I've worked in many a fast food outlet during my youth and i think this has been BBs bonding task. You get a great sense of camaraderie working in such an environment at all hours. Preparing the food so every thing is ready, making sure the work surfaces are kept clean for heath and hygiene reasons, checking that all the bread products are fresh by giving them a quick squeeze like the finger rolls, the pizza bases and for the burgers the baps.... oh not you Stuart, wait until your asked.
