I was a bit underwhelmed by the song. I like Sam, but i wouldn't buy that version.

I am actually surprised that she got just over a million votes in the whole final.

Doesn't bode well for long success since millions watch X Factor and likely most vote multiple times so it would only take about 150.000 people voting about around 7 times each to hit a million votes.

It would seem not that many bother to vote and considering they have been voting since the start of last nights show,therefore over 24 hours, the figures seem quite low to me.

It was a predictable final and I am just I guess pleased Sam won tonight but for me she was nowhere the best performer of the whole series.

No, your argument is weak.

Sam Bailey has a more powerful voice than Omar but that does not make it better. If she was in the year that Omar was in she would've been one of the first 4 out.

Well that's your opinion, it's not really relevant to the thread is it comparing her to a random contestant from abroad?

She has a more powerful voice and therefore is going to sing songs differently to someone with a smaller range. That's just common sense.

She shouted through the song. And I agree with Vanessa that Nicholas was better tonight as he you know did the requirement of actually singing and not shouting.

I like Sam but preferred Nicholas's songs tonight.Sams first song was epic, that second one is awful,I wouldn't buy it,she should have had The Power of love as her winners song.

Technically, no she didn't shout.

So, you didn't like her, that's your opinion fair enough but there's no "way she should have sang the song".

Hi Kazanne , I agree as to the songs,I preferred Nicholas's single song rather than Sam's definitely.

I just didn't want another sort of Leon Jackson moment for the winner,I liked Leon's voice but I feel he was stifled by the controls of the contract the X Factor winner has to deal with.

Nicholas will more than likely do much better coming 2nd than winning in my opinion and it wouldn't surprise me if he had a longer career than Sam too.

Because Luke has a Rockers voice that's why I find it annoying when people call any Rocker a shouter.

And as someone that liked Abi because she didn't replicate songs, wtf are you doing supporting Sam Bailey when all she did was replicate songs.

And even if you look at the original song Sam Bailey didn't even come close to how it was sung.

Not shocked at Sam,Nicholas,Luke and RC being regular top 3 contestantts, but Hannah was a pleasant surprise.
