Silly story - I once bought a t-shirt in an end-of-summer sale because it had cool Japanese writing on it...................

Later I met someone who could read and he told me it said "Spring" on it!!!!!! Wrong season as my friend told me this in about November!!!!!!

It is like the band I knew who were called "Frank Chickens" - they were 2 Japanese girls called this as it was written on a pencil they bought in a shop in Tokyo - it was 'cool' because it was written in english!!!!

They knew what it said and just thought it funny Tokyo people pay much money for this!!!!!

Making mistake on T shirt is not too bad. Sometimes I hear peope have tatoo wrong words or other way round or rude words.
