I was inspired by rex's thread about Charles.

What's everyone's thoughts on this question?

I think she was murdered because the royal famliy feared she would marry an arab, thus making Dodi a stepfather to the heir to the throne.

I personally dont think it was the royal family who killed Diana, there made to look as if there the killers, I think it was the government or there periages, like Lord Levy, An Arab connected to Britain, is a bad Image especially when where going to war with Arab lands.

The truth will come out eventually though. There's only so long these things can remain covered up. There are too many people who are suspicious. It might be years from now, but I do believe that we will learn what really happened that night.

I agree with you, I think she could have been murdered.

No, because it would be a strange way to assasinate someone. Make a car go too fast and cause it to crash?

The breaks could have been tampered with. Perhaps there was another car in the tunnel with her that lead to car into the bollard/barrier.

There could be many ways that she was killed, but of course the royal family (and the government) will be very willing to keep this hidden.

Of course, perhaps it was just a fatal mistake and there's no conspiracy in it at all

I'm not quite sure where I stand, to be honest. But somethings up.

I think she was murdered. Why was Dodi's normal driver changed at the last minute. No there are some theories that she could have faked her death, but that doesn't make sense as she loved her boys and would never put them through the heartache of that. Others say MI6 killed her for the royal family which is more possible. The shock that she was in a relationship with an Arab would have shaken them to their core.

But who was Henri Paul? People that worked with him said he kept to himself, was he over the limit? The medical results from his blood test showed a very high level of carbon monoxide in his blood. Experts say this would have incapacitated him before his set off on his fatal journey. He has also been accused of being an alcoholic, but he passed a health check just two days before the accident. His liver showed no signs of abuse on post mortem. Some people have suggested that his blood had been switched at the morgue.

He also had multiple bank account which was said to have funds in that were well beyond his salary he was paid.

Where is the white car that was supposed to be in the tunnel at the same time?

Why did it take 2 hours to reach a hospital only 4 miles away?

After reading your post kizwiz,I definately think something shady went on. If something did, then omg.. taking someones life for the sake of reputation? and not just anyones life, she was a good person.. I wonder if Will or Harry have any doubts, they must read the newspapers etc.

I just dont buy any of it! I really do think it was a tragic case of driver error. If Henri Paul was told to drive fast he would do just that. French police and witnesses have all said none of the reporters were close enough to cause them a problem. Also Henri Paul was meant to be over the limit with alcohol and also had a large does of prescription medication in his system.

I believe it took nearly 2 hours for them to get her out of the car and to hospital and not 2 hours to actually go from the crash site to the hospital. Cutting someone as critically injured as Diana and her bodygaurd were free from a horrific car wreck does take hours, does mean they move things millimetere at a time so as not to cause further injury.

I think for every normal theory their is a conspiracy theory and vice versa, who is to actually say who is right, I doubt we will ever know the truth and the full details of that terrible accident.

The dossier and investigation that followed the death couldn't seem to answer many of the questions we were asking; specifically about the time it took to get to the hospital, and the car that was in the tunnel at the same time.

If they're willing to quash the rumours they would have done it by now, unfortunately these questions have not been (and in my opinion, will never be) released to the general public.

There's a lot of unanswered questions, but the thing is - it's not an easy way of killing someone. I mean, what if she had survived the crash? There was an police accident analyst on the radio the other day, who said that he believed that if she had been wearing her seatbelt, she would have survived (I don't know if that's right; the car looked badly beaten up.) But there's no guarantee that the crash would have killed her. So I think if they were going to murder her, they would have chosen a foolproof method.

I agree Ruth - it isnt a fool proff way to plan to kill someone. I think that it can be pretty hard to accept that someone who was so much in the public eye could die in such a simple normal way!
