Default A judge allowed two Muslim solicitors accused of trying to cheat the legal system

Daily Mail convinces judge to lift reporting gag on Muslim solicitors

[The Daily Mail changed a judge's mind
about holding a trial in secret after
launching a legal action, the paper reports.
Judge Peter Hughes had banned the
reporting of a trial of two Muslim solicitors,
who were accused of attempting to
pervert the course of justice, for "cultural reasons."
A lawyer acting for Asha Khan had
successfully argued that she could
not give evidence in the presence
of the press because she was
afraid of family repercussions
should she criticise her father in public.
She and her brother, Kashif, were
accused of helping their father,
Mohammed, dodge a speeding
fine by pretending he was not driving
at the time of the offence. He allowed
a man who worked for the family
to take the blame instead.]

Guilty: Asha Khan has been convicted of
attempting to pervert the course of justice

This is supposed to be Great Britain, not some third world country where the legal system panders to "cultural problems".

Here, here. The day we pander to all that nonsence is the day we lose the 'Great' in Great Britian.
