His continued success surprises me. It's not that he doesn't deserve to be, he just seems really average in the grand scheme of things. Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj fall under the same category for me.

The song works so well because Pitbull's verses are solid and Ke$ha's delivery on the chorus suits her perfectly. It wouldn't work as a solo song for either of them. Hence it being a crossover smash. It's served its purpose for both artists, you can't say it was down to either one of them...
