World War Z
really average film... nothing to get excited about. Liked how feral and bat**** insane the zombies were though. 6/10

I refuse to watch it out of principle, it's offensive to the book that that was it being "turned into a film" - all they have in common is a title! I think I'd want to watch it if it was called something else but the book's one of my all time favourites, angers me that it turned out to be a Brad Pitt vanity project

Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones
Suprising pretty good. Provided enough jumps (some points I literally couldn't look at the screen) and the ending was genuienly shocking, you really don't expect it. 7/10 |

Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolow - 1/10
Easily in the worst 5 films I have ever seen.. isn't funny at all and is just crap. Empire of the Sun - 7.5/10 I have seen about 90% of Bale's adult films but this is the first one I've seen of him as a kid, was quite different to what I was expecting and him and John Malkovich were great in it. Didn't even recognize Ben Stiller either until I was reading about it online after I'd watched |

The Wolf of Wall Street - 8.5/10
I know it's getting some criticism for glamorizing the lifestyle of Belfort and his friends but I thought it done the exact opposite. Leo was brilliant in the role but you (or I, at least) dislike him after the opening 45 minutes or so. There's a lot of sex and nudity but I don't think it's so bad that there should be a big a fuss about it like there has been.. I doubt it would be happening if it was someone lesser known in the lead role. But anyway yeah, brilliant film. Leo's best performance to date and Kyle Chandler and Matthew McConaughey were really good in their smaller but important roles. A lot of GIPs and one of the funniest scenes I've ever seen in a serious film aswell (the whole cerebral palsy part) Spoiler: Last edited by Locke.; 10-01-2014 at 06:56 AM. |

Oh also I went and saw Last Vegas in the cinema and that was a 10/10 as well - funny and emotionally hard hitting in all the right places; stellar cast and it managed to be convincing in both a film about friendship, having a late life crisis and dealing with getting old. Really couldn't recommend it more, Michael Douglas, Robert DeNiro, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline are all on top form in this film.

Tonight I watched Insidious 2 which was quite good, Rose Bynes was amazing but it didn't scare me once. Then I watched Big Ass Spider! that was pretty bad but it had Glory out of Buffy in it so I bared with it.
Can't wait for You're Next!

See No Evil - Only watched it because they have a sequel out soon with Danielle Harris and katharine isabelle (
); it was okay, nothing special. Felt there was hardly any character development and the main characters were not interesting enough, while the ones killed off were. 3/5V/H/S/2 - A really good sequel that surpasses the first film. The short movies were all enjoyable, but mainly the story "Safe Haven" was really disturbing and had a rosemary's baby/silent hill vibe to it. - 4/5 |

Carrie (the 2013 version)
Was quite good, could have done with more of the actual "event" though :/ felt very rushed and over quickly. 6 or 7/10.

Captain Phillips - 9.5/10
A staggeringly great film, possibly my favourite of 2013. Tom Hanks gives probably his best performance to date and its fantastically directed.

We're The Millers - Really funny, not much of a plot but it flowed with plenty of laughs. And Jennifer Aniston has still got it

Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
Finally managed to sit through all 3 movies after buying the extended boxset, was pretty proud of myself considering they all felt like 12 hours long but I really enjoyed them, especially the 3rd movie. |

Gravity 9/10
I watched Gravity tonight, it was AMZING. Sanda bullock is amazing, the movie is amazing, It was just awesome. Basically like Speed in Space. If you are not a kid of the 90's and hjavn't seen Speed, then go back and watch Speed, that movie is awesome too. I love Sandra Bullock.

We're The Millers 7/10
Really funny movie.. Will Poulter made this great.. Although Will who plays the son Kenny is from England he puts on a great American accent and he's involved in the best and most entertaining parts of the movie. Jennifer Aniston still looks 10/10 and was great in it too.
