I always thought gym memberships should be free for everyone, but once you sign up you'd have to sign 12 month contracts. You'd then be charged for the days that you don't go instead of a fixed fee.

I think it's better to go for a walk or use the bicycle. Much cheaper as well.

Not a bad idea. Definitely viable. Needs to accommodate workers though, and take into account travel costs for others. Some local health authorities offer free gym memberships for people on low incomes for 6 month periods through Doctor referrals, my town don't offer it (quelle surprise ) but it's a really good thing and worth people looking into.

I love the gym, used to go regularly (way back in the mists of time) and have a swim as well. Love swimming.

I used to love going with my bicycle. I need to buy another one. My old one got stolen.
