while he was away on business so it sort of suggests that that could have been a regular thing and she might have done stuff like this before - my uncle's devastated though; even though he's my mum's sister's ex-husband he was always very friendly with my parents and kept in contact with them all these years so initially he was texting my mum saying how upset he was and how he would come round and see them at some point to explain things but then he went all quiet and hasn't been in touch for a while, which is where him getting back with my auntie comes into it, because my auntie and my mum have bitterly hated each other for over a decade

..families are funny old things aren't they/really quite complicated..it's really quite fascinating, I guess you have to feel for the four children in all of it though..do you talk to your aunt/like her...?...

No she hasn't sent one birthday card or anything over the years. I did see her in September at a recruitment event, she was operating a stand for some company, had a brief conversation with her but it's not really any of my business so I've no reason to hate her, don't really consider her part of my family

..my father in law's brother didn't talk to him for around 5 years and no one knew why, he just refused to speak or come to any family gatherings..and then he finally got in touch and told my father in law that he was offended because apparently one time my father in law said he had big ears...he didn't remember saying it either but we all thought his ears were quite large...

Aren't families great? My mum and uncle (dads brother) didn't speak for years after a big family fall out that was quite vicious...my cousins were too young to know about it but ask me all the time what it was over....I've never told them as it doesn't paint their dad in the best of lights....they speak now...just

..yeah, there is just so much stuff in families, sometimes family members have nothing in common other than a bloodline so it's not surprising they don't always get along/it's no different to anyone..I think there are lots of 'scandals' in my dad's family, there were 14 siblings and many lived very colourful lives indeed...
